PaceSetters
The PULSE PaceSetters group mentoring program was developed to assist Greenville’s Economic Development Strategy by creating an environment where young professionals are afforded the opportunity to connect with Greenville County’s most successful leaders. Meetings will be designed around a variety of topics to help get you, a PULSE PaceSetter, connected with the Greater Greenville Community. In addition to the mentoring, skills training sessions will be incorporated. There will also be a number of PaceSetters Socials to help the class get better acquainted.
Applications are available in early September of every year. Selection criteria is highlighted on the application; after review, only a select number of applicants will be accepted. For more information, .

Who can participate in PaceSetters?
Any young professional who is a current, active member of PULSE. Click here to become a PULSE member or renew your membership. Once applications are received, a selection committee will review all applications and select the highest qualified applicants.
How many people are in each PaceSetters group?
Each PaceSetters group consists of 2 mentors and 8-10 young professionals.
How often does each group meet, and how long does each meeting last?
Each group meets monthly for 1-2 hours. The exact length of each meeting is determined by individual group preferences. In addition, PaceSetters added Leadership Skills Training Seminars in 2011. These mandatory training sessions are typically held at the Chamber and generally last three hours (dinner is included).
What time of day do the groups meet?
In early January, each group will determine a set meeting time that works best for them. The Skills Training dates will be announced after the class has been accepted, and are typically held on the 3rd Wednesday of the selected months.
Is there a fee to participate?
The yearly participation/application fee for PaceSetters is $100 and must be paid in full once accepted into the program. In addition, participants’ 2012 PULSE dues must be paid by January 1, 2012.
What does the $100 program fee cover?
The program fee covers the total cost of participation, including all monthly group meetings, attendance at the Opening Retreat, the four skills-training sessions with a light dinner, a mid-year social, and graduation in late Fall.
